Great British Beer festival to
tickle London's tastebuds
16/02/2012
While London might be home to some of
the most famous landmarks on earth, it's also the place to
find some of the greatest tipples around. This coming August
welcomes back the Great British Beer Festival, an event
looking to celebrate the finest produce from home soil and
pastures overseas.
Over 60,000 people come for a taste
during the four day event, and with more than 700 beers,
ales, ciders and perries on display, the large numbers of
visitors come as no surprise.
It's not just an event to get tipsy;
competition is rife with brewers taking the festival very
seriously as they hope to gain accreditation for their work.
With a host of live music and traditional pub games to
accompany the tasting sessions, it's easy to get lost in the
atmosphere, transforming London's Olympia into your local
pub.
The Great British Beer Festival will be
held from the 7 - 11 August, if you happen to be staying in
cheap accommodation in London during the period, why not
come along and see which drinks tickle your fancy.
