Pioneering metal band Anthrax set for London gig
Legendary American heavy metal pioneers
Anthrax will be hitting London this year as part of a world
tour, it has been confirmed.
The band, who were one of the
originators of thrash metal, will appear at the O2 Academy
in Islington on 15 March, in a concert sure to attract a
large amount of UK based fans.
Formed in 1981, the band endured
turbulent beginnings, chopping and changing members before
finally settling on a steady line-up, which laid the
foundations for their success over the years.
Despite going through seven lead
singers, the band can fall back on a number of classics to
justify each decision, including albums such as Among the
Living and Sound of White Noise.
Renowned for their pioneering steps
into uniting metal with other musical genres such as rap,
Anthrax are a band not to be missed and will provide the
perfect live music experience. Combine the concert with a
stay at one of the fine
hostels in London,
a great base to rest your head after the gig.
