Thriller extends its West End
run until 2013
08/06/2012
It seems Thriller isn't ready to leave the West End quite
yet, after the production announced an extension to its
residency to ensure the shows stay until at least 2013.
The show had been a breath of fresh air
since opening back in 2009 at the Lyric Theatre, falling to
praise and plaudits from both fans and critics alike. It
brings a fantastic tribute to the undisputed king of pop, a
man who revolutionised the music genre with timeless hits
such as Bad, Smooth Criminal, Blood on the Dancefloor and,
of course, Thriller. He sold more than 750 million records
during his career, with his albums achieving peaking in
countries all over the world. Co-produced by Adrian Grant,
it tells the incredible story of his career, from the
childhood success of the Jackson 5 through to the release of
his Invincible album in 2001.
With the production now showing until
at least 3 March 2013, there's still plenty of chance for
people to catch the show during their stay in any of the
London hostels in the coming months.
