Aviva London Grand Prix to
provide last event before Olympics
04/05/2012
While tickets to watch the athletic action at the Olympic
Games may be hard to come by, there's still every
opportunity to book your seat at the Aviva London Grand
Prix.
Taking place on 13 July, it’s the final
athletics event before the start of the greatest show on
earth. It promises to be an important meeting, with the
world's finest athletes hoping for podium success to put
them in good stead for the Games.
One who has confirmed his participation
is British hopeful Mo Farah, with the 29 year old World and
European 5,000m champion keen to impress before the big
event. Farah stormed to victory at the event last year,
winning the 3,000m in a phenomenal time of 40.15 seconds.
You can catch all the action at the
Crystal Palace National Sports Centre and tickets are still
available, but don’t look to be around for long. Why not
combine the event with a stay in one of the ideally located
London hostels,
providing the basis for an unforgettable getaway to the
capital.
