Booking and Payment
How do I Book and Pay?
We only accept online bookings for the Internship scheme. A small deposit is required to book a place in residences. This will be deducted from your total bill. All bookings are processed by the Travelstay Network booking system. You will be held responsible for rent for the entire period booked and you may not sub-let rooms. Full payment is due seven days after booking, or on arrival, whichever is sooner.
What is the minimum stay period?
To qualify for our lower internship rates you must stay for the minimum periods defined below.
  Arrival Date Minimum Stay
Before 2nd July Minimum departure date of 21st August or later
  2nd July - 16th July 49 nights or more
  17th July - 30th July 42 nights or more
  31st July - 21st August 35 nights or more
22nd August onwards 28 nights or more
If you wish to stay for a shorter period then standard vacation rates apply:
     For LSE's residences visit www.lsevacations.co.uk
For University of London residence visit www.halls.london.ac.uk/visitor
Why does it take so long to search?
The booking system checks each day that you are searching for. As all bookings through this site are for long stays this sometimes takes several minutes, especially on slow connections. If you know which residence you would like to stay in you can speed up the search by selecting a residence on the search page.
I would like to stay in a residence that is not listed, is this possible?
Rooms at other residences may be available but not at the long-stay rates:
     For LSE's residences visit www.lsevacations.co.uk
For University of London residences visit www.halls.london.ac.uk/visitor
Can I book a twin or triple room?
We have twin rooms available at Passfield Hall. We do not have any triple rooms available through the Internship scheme but they may be available at standard rates.
     For LSE's residences visit www.lsevacations.co.uk
For University of London residences visit www.halls.london.ac.uk/visitor
Can I have a guest in my room?
Overnight guests are not permitted to stay in your room. If you would like a guest to stay you can book a room with any of the residences (subject to availability) at www.lsevacations.co.uk. If you are likely to have frequent guests you might want to consider having a twin room as this will work out better value. Day guests must be signed in at reception on arrival, and signed out on departure.

Cancellations and Modifications
What is the Cancellation and Refund Policy?
The booking fee and deposit are non-refundable. You may cancel within five days of booking, or by arrival, whichever is sooner. After this point you are liable for the full cost of your booking. To cancel your booking please e-mail vacations@lse.ac.uk. There are no refunds for early departures.
Can I modify my booking?
You may modify your booking within five days of booking, or by arrival, whichever is sooner. Modifications may be subject to a fee. To make a modification to your booking please e-mail vacations@lse.ac.uk with your name, reference number and new dates. Modifications are subject to availability and must remain within our minimum stay policy.
